Douglas M. Gordon, DDS
Dr. Gordon founded Smile Fitness Dental Center in 1987 to deliver excellent family dentistry at affordable prices. He practices in and manages both the Peoria and West Phoenix offices.
Born and raised in New York, Dr. Gordon is a graduate of City University of New York and New York University College of Dentistry. After receiving his DDS in 1971, Dr. Gordon served in the United States Air Force for six years and provided dental care for our troops. He moved to Arizona in 1976.
Dr. Gordon has been a lecturer for the American Academy of Dental Group Practice and is a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He is the recipient of The Communicator Award as well as the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. Dr. Gordon was the first dentist in the 2nd Air Force Division to receive this award. He is a Diamond Leader in the Commanders’ Club of Disabled American Veterans.
His seven granddaughters fill his life with joy. When he's not practicing dentistry or spending time with his family, Dr. Gordon likes to play tennis and watch basketball, tennis and football. He supports Luke Air Force Base and Disabled American Veterans.
Steven C. Green, DDS
Dr. Green has provided quality care to area residents since 1982. His patients return again and again for exceptional dentistry performed with a gentle touch and unwavering attention to detail.
Raised in Des Moines, Dr. Green graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 1977. He practiced dentistry in Des Moines until moving to the Valley in 1981. Dr. Green and Dr. Gordon have been partners for 27 years.
After hours, Dr. Green enjoys spending time with his granddaughter and biking.
George P. Spine, III, DMD
Dr. Spine joined our team in 2005 and became a partner in 2006. He enjoys providing family dentistry and creating strong, healthy smiles.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Dr. Spine completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy before obtaining his DMD from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine in 1990. His postgraduate studies include courses at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, Orognathic Bioesthetics International and the Schuster Center for Professional Development.
Dr. Spine began his career as a general practice resident at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia, before entering private practice near Pittsburgh.
Dr. Spine and his wife, Pat, reside in Scottsdale with their two daughters. They’re avid football fans and follow the Pittsburgh Steelers and Wisconsin Badgers. Dr. Spine also enjoys trout fishing and waterfowl hunting. His community service efforts include providing free dental screening exams for Special Olympics athletes.
Matthew Goldring, DDS
Dr. Goldring moved from New York in 2006 to join our dental family. He provides comprehensive restorative care for smiles that look and feel terrific.
Born in New York, Dr. Goldring graduated from the New York University, College of Dentistry in 1998. He owned a private practice in New York and was a hospital attending dentist at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Goldring is a member of the American Dental Association and Arizona Dental Association.
Married with two children, Dr. Goldring enjoys sports, keeping fit and playing the drums.
Richard Flottmann, DDS
Dr. Flottmann joined our team in 1994. He enjoys his patient relationships and delivering comprehensive family dentistry.
A native of Walla Walla, Washington, Dr. Flottmann received his BA from Walla Walla College before obtaining his DDS from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry in 1975. Dr. Flottmann has practiced dentistry in Arizona since 1976.
Dr. Flottmann and his wife, Phyllis, have four grown children and one adorable granddaughter. In his spare time, Dr. Flottmann likes to play golf.
